yep went out this morning and got a few abs myself. Man sound people are just plain stupid, with what they wear, what they do, and there careless-ness towards others.
Next sunday will be from the boat out round GI.

What the hell
What happened to the saying watch the sea. I can only see about 4 poeple combined in the last two picks keeping their eyes on the bloody big wave that close to a reef. Any casualties reported. I am sure there was some cuts and bruises.
Look at the dill on the right of the second last picture. Sure is in for a surprise!! LOL
And not to mention all the sharp objects they are carrying flying about in a nasty surf.

yep it was quite funny at times watching the people scramble over the reef, almost fighting over the abs.
I think there would have been easy 1000-2000 people on the small reef we were on, and of that only maybe 40 in the water with full gear.
One bloke even swam round me (we were on the edge of the reef the swell was hitting.) he had a knife, boardies, goggles, and flippers....and that was it!!!
No wetsuit, no gloves. crazy......

I reckon its good. Ignorance
I reckon its good. Ignorance and poor set-up keeps them stuck and limited to the free-for-all on top of the reef, while the rest of the abs in anything over 1/2 m deep get reduced pressure by the few who know better, or who have the right type of gear.
Could you imagine the real carnage if they ALL had flippers and wesuits and goggles? I believe it is exactly for that reason that you can still paddle out some 20 metres and find abs double the size of the peanuts they pick out of that mess.
