Fished at a local lake as I had scoped out earlier that had feral koi/carp in there.
Came up with this
I have seen the local residence feeding these things like pets so I had to do a covert mission at night :P

Emu lake carp
Hey tim-o, iv got a mate thats fishing emu fairly often....and he is still getting plenty of decent carp. He wont thank me for telling you....but I owe him one anyway....lol. Carp dont mind dirty silted up water at all, just use smelly bait that they can find. I cant tell you wot he has been using coz he wouldnt forgive that...hahaha. They do put up a great fight....they are a sought after and targeted fish in europe generating a massive revenue....they just screw up our natives by eating absolutely everything. Good luck.
FISHING ISNT A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH.....ITS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT!!!!!

Ha ha
I think I know where you are. It might be the lake in Dudley Park, Mandurah. If not there is plenty in that one to enjoy and destroy. It has a risk of draining into the estuary and/or Murray/ Serpentine Rivers.
Go get em boys.

not that i'm bothered
but are you allowed to fish there? i say fish on cos they're a pest but i was just wondering if you would get in trouble, other than by the people feeding them. we have a park with a manmade lake and koi (slowly dissapearing - not me) mate of mine always wants to do it and i said no, i'm pretty sure they put them there on purpose. it's not linked to any waterways and they are koi not carp.

As long as you are allowed to
As long as you are allowed to fish the lake you are fine to catch them.
The law state's that live transportation of these fish is illegal and returning the fish to the waterway is also illegal. Catching these fish must result in their death.

Koi and carp is the same thing FYI
All Koi when they breed will have "babies' that will turn out to be plain carp. Koi is just pretty carp mutants bred for their look but identical in genetics to a carp.
Copied from Wiki: "
Koi (鯉?, English /ˈkɔɪ/, Japanese: [koꜜi]) or more specifically nishikigoi (錦鯉?, [niɕi̥kiꜜɡo.i], literally "brocaded carp"), are ornamental varieties of domesticated common carp (Cyprinus carpio) that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens."

If the pond you go to has
If the pond you go to has alot of colourless ones chances are they are the pest ones that overbred and no one really cares about it, however if you go to a pond with the colourful ones and try to fish those expect some big fines and trouble as each of those kois are put there which cost a small fortune.
