I received a few good posts about my problem setting up extended leaders to braid. After much experimentation and thought I have come to the conclusion that few knots really address the real problem as the leader tag end usually ends up at the wrong end. JohnF put me on to the FG Knot. Thanks mate. It's the toughest knot I have ever tried. Below is my test version for tomorrow. It's not tidy but it is STRONG and creates little problem through the guides.
