Caught a WHALE and couple of GB Cods

Not sure if this has happened to anyone before .... certainly first to me! but we had a HB whale passing under the tub, and then running into our lines in 250m of water! Wouldn't like to imagine if that would've been anchor rope (not that were on anchore).
Oh well, here gone 100s of meters of Boat Braid!
Just a warning, so be careful out there, so many of them ... great to watch, but nasty to hook into

You can sometimes be lucky and it will slide off other times just lock up and bust off is the only way.

Yep, weeks ago in 20m drifting for whiting my reel smoked and I was wtf???? Then the whales started breaching, awesome time shared with the curious beasts, thawt I was onto a 200 kg flatty for a moment

Yep same as you timo, had a pod of about 20 Minke whales playing all around us in about 20m out from Hillarys.
Had to stop fishing for about an hour, they wouldnt leave us alone.

seen a anchor rope hooked by
seen a anchor rope hooked by a passing H/B off point samsom a few years back. pulled a 4.5mtr quintrex down to the windshield before the rope came free. went over and checked them out....3 pairs of undies neede changing.
