cheap jigs

don't know if they're any good or not but at $2.95 each on motackle i just bought a heap of 90gm and 110gm Surecatch Stinger jigs.

Also picked up so Rapala bibbed minnows for $6.95.

Anyone used the surecatch jigs before?  how'd you go?  I'm getting them so I don't care if a few bust off while i'm learning the art of jigging.

cheers

These jigs are copies of Duel

These jigs are copies of Duel Aile jigs. Due to their profile, they are better off for pelagics and seriolas and they flutter less on the drop.

However, for $3, you can't fault it.

Surecatch's jigs are usually copies of Duel so I'll say they are pretty good in terms of action but colourwise they are pretty average.

How much did you end up paying for shipping & delivery ?

90-110gr is pretty light for sambo jigging! Unless you find them shallow of course.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

I like these for shallow

Mon, 2013-06-24 07:38

I like these for shallow stuff. My best day on them resulted in 7 Doggies, 4 GT, 2 Blue spot trevs, a rainbow runner, High fin AJ, snapper, job fish and a Coral trout. The GT were loving the red head versions.

Got bricked and lost 7-8 lures, they were out fishing my high end jigs easily that day.

 They arrived today.  And

They arrived today.  And I've got to say the initial inspection looks quite good.   I'm going to replace the split rings and get some solid rings to tie line to.
