Cheaper fuel now in Carnarvon
Submitted by carnarvonite on Mon, 2012-06-18 18:38
Recently a new Woolworths /Caltex servo has opened up here in Carnarvon which is a bit of a bonus for those who use shopper dockets to save a bit .
Its nearly right in to town on the LHS so you won't miss it.
Since it opened diesel and petrol have dropped by about 4-5 cents a litre
One is hoping the prices will drop even further now that construction has started on a new roadhouse to replace the old Palms /BP servo that went under with the floods. Its supposed to be the u beaut jobby that will have everything for the truckies with showers, 24 hour service, good meals, you name it but we will have to wait and see until its finished.

I concur... filled up the tub
I concur... filled up the tub with 200L worth last night for todays trip... if you have a woolies card/ receipt its 4c a litre discount, and if you spend $20 in the shop its a further 8c off.
8c a litre more off the lowest fuel in town... sorry peak, youll have to do better than 2c off for boat fuel now! although their bacon and egg burgers are still the best!
Worth the drive into town if your on your way north guys

Spoil sports
Bunch of spoil sports, I quite enjoyed driving the floodboat through the bowsers when the flood was happening, same goes for the Shell and KCD's. The railings by KCDs had prop marks it them where I got tangled up on the return trip.

So is the woolies one in town good for burgers etc for brekky? Will be driving through early saturday and will want to top up on fuel for car and boat before exmouth as its too bloody pricey to fill up when you get there.
Is the coles/shell rebuilt?

Shell Servo
I have heard that they will not be rebuilding the shell servo at all...
The new woolies doesnt have brekky, only like a pie warmer type with pies n sausage rolls...
Best off filling up here, and then when you do a u turn to leave, pull back in to Peak and grab a bacon n egg sanger as its on the correct side of the road as youre leaving..
I heard a rumour that KCD's fuel have just bought Peak roadhouse.... not sure if its true....

Sweet. Always used to stop
Sweet. Always used to stop at the old caltex at the intersection- man a steakburger with bacon and egg in it used to hit the spot at 6:30 am but we havent been able to get anything there for a while. I think we stopped at minilya and paid a premium for a bacon and egg sanga. I will be able to get from busso to carnarvon without stopping for fuel so I will go to caltex woolies then stop in at peak.
Cheers

Brad y, your still better off filling up the car along the way, might be cheaper in carnarvon now but is it cheaper than Gero.
