Christmas Holidays Walpole

First post in long while. Another year done and dusted at Walpole, Weather was nice this year however we only snuck out the inlet Christmas eve for a bottom bash in the dinghy. Picked up a nice feed for the hungry mob at camp and also managed a few whiting in the inlet over the week. Mouth was as shallow as I have seen in a while but some pretty big boats where getting through some being pushed. Got smoked by a big fish ( It felt very Dhu like) before picking up a nice medium Dhu in 28 m. Beautiful place for the kids to run free 10 days non powered camping.

Having the Dinghys in the water makes it special. Especially for the morning glass, you need to be up early as it normally doesn't last long.

Me too
I was there from the 23rd December to 2nd January. Stayed at Rest Point and fishing in a 4.4m Quintrex Renegade side console. Got out all but 1 day when it was too windy. Mostly concentrated on the Yellowfin Whiting....there are some good ones there. Great place and already booked for the same time next year.
