Deep!

The best spots are deep water area's near drop offs or structure but dont hit up the usual spots that ppl flog all the time. Berley up with cubed mullies, yes the rays are a pain but mulla will be in the trail somewhere!

All the best!

D9 no good for mullies

The best places are along the channel in the middle .
Find the last channel markers ,head approx 300-500 west toward garden island,USE YOUR SOUNDER,and find the "holes".

Anchor up berlie, let your lines down ,grab a coolie,& be patient.
8.00pm to 12.00-1.00am best times.
You usually get plenty of flappers(stingrays) to keep you occupied but be patient.
I have been catching from 16 to 27kg mullies there for years.

Please you go there ensure you are out of the channel ,the ships pop out of nowhere & you cant always see them.
Also have fun keep a small one & return your larger catch carefully & catch it again another day.(They taste like shit anyway once frozen)

If you are still a little unsure just contact me & I dont mind going for a run with you.
Happy fishing

The German,

The D9 isn't a popular mulla haunt hense why I said dont hit up usual/flog/popular spots, I dive the D9 and not much there but baitfish, a few smaller fish and 55ft of steel!

The deep water as I originally mentioned is better and what Jeff said also. Mulla dont release well so you need a release weight to do it properly, cheap product to buy also.

All the best!
