Compensation for Sanctuary Zones in Southwest Marine Park.

Today in Busselton there was a meeting between the commercial fishing sector and Govt. officials discussing possible compensation for loss of fishing spots because of the sanctuary zones and it raises the question whether or not the rec-fishing sector should get compensation for the same reasons. I believe they should especially for the loss on the end of the Busso. jetty which will become a sanctuary zone because a lot of us have poured considerable ammount of funds into maintaining the jetty.

I dont bel;ieve rec fishers
I dont believe rec fishers should for two reasons.
#1 you have thousand kms of land to choose from in general for shore fishing, an more n that if your on boats. you jsut need to either go out wide, or travel a bit further an your used to.
#2 Commurcial fish boats spend millions an I am not joking. They have to pay in exess of $250000 jsut for a cray licance, not to mention boats an gear cost well over 1 mil+. Now that cost needs to be recooped. an its livilyhoods for all those people. Not to mention the hundreds of million they put into tyhe economy in seafood exports an sales at home.
No matter what, your not going to lose your house car job wife family whatever... if you cant fish off Busso Jetty are you ?.. But the Commurcial drivers will.
