Coral bay 3rd day out.
Hit the water at 6 slowly going out as the water was I bit rough. Seen a few birds working the water so in the lures went . First lot a stripe tuna nailed the lure , good for bait . Bit further on another lot of birds. In go the lures this time as the second one was going out the first got hit hard. I grabbed that one that was going nuts and Sandy was retrieving the second one and a stripe tuna nailed it. Mum netted that one (first time ever on the net) and 15 minutes later my tuna came to the surface but this time the gaffe was needed, I nice yellowfin tuna on deck .
Headed out to the 120 mark and set the first drift. Great results we all got fish . 2 drifts later we had all we could get from there only leaving 3 more fish to catch. Headed back into the 70s to try for reds and whatever else might like fresh tuna for lunch. Ended up with 2 reds and a robo. Called it quits with our bag limit.
Mum got her first red emperor, Goldie and robo
Sandy nailed a red and the biggest Goldie for the day and I got the second biggest. Great day had by all and a good trip in p

Tuna went 8.5 on the scales I have but unfortunately it had Myxozoans. Which is lots of small white cysts caused by parasites. Going to used for bait tomorrow . Added a pic of tuna fillet

Yeah I’ve seen those cysts
Yeah I’ve seen those cysts before. Three tuna from the same school - two fine and one riddled with them. Very off putting.
