Submitted by Oracle on Tue, 2019-09-24 18:49
Hi all,
Heading to Cora Bay this weekend and takign the rig. I was just told that the water is so awful, that it's advised to not wash your gear or boat in it....
Cant be that bad could it?
Thanks in advance

100 %- we go every year for 3 weeks.. NEVER flush your motor especially..3 weeks will not do any harm- you should be fishing regulary enough anyway..
if u have a good decky, the boat should be spotless on the way in too

Cheers
Looks like it's going to be too much wind at any rate.
Normally I fish Exxy, so this is new to me. Nothign to hide behind. What sort of breeze before you dont bother goign out wide? Sitting in a 7 meter STABI.

It’s not just wind down
It’s not just wind down there. 20 knots with low swell is doable if you just want to poke out and have a troll.
20 knots on top of a big swell I wouldn’t bother trying to push through the passage.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
