Coral Bay To Exmouth

Planning to do a boat trip from Coral Bay to Exmouth next April in one 4.5m 60 yam 4 stroke side console and one 5m 90 hond 4 stroke centtre console.

Will be mainly top water fishing inside lagoon and reefs edge with some trawling thrown in for good measure.

Total distance is around 140nm which we are going to do over seven or eight days.

Has anyone done this trip before and have any sugestions or advise please.

I havnt done that trip but i have fished various spots in between by boat. Just be really careful on the inside of the reef on a low tide, some spots are loaded with shallow coral bombies and arnt on any maps you can get, so a spare prop and tools to change would be a good idea. hope you have a good trip, sounds like a great adventure!!

Sanctuary zones

Take care to mark in the sanctuary zones because there are some real good spots that are now out of bounds like Black Rock off Jane Bay

We have all off limit areas

Sun, 2012-05-13 15:14

We have all off limit areas marked in & shallow areas of concern marked up just finding lay down areas for over night camp a problem.

We may have to look at tender for towing with swags fuel etc sleep in the boat.

Nah should be a sick trip one of the boys old man has wanted to do it for some time sort of bucket list item for him.

Ive been planning the same trip in my head for a while, would be epic for sure.

If you get the repeater channel freq from Exmouth sea rescue you should have radio cover pretty well all the way.
