Coral Bays stupidist mackeral

This must be the stupidist shark mackeral ever. Cam pulled the lure in so we could have a look at the whales, and says
"dad theres a fish here"
the rods standing straight up, "yeah whatever"
so he lets out 1 meter of line and drags the lure back and forth twice-now we have something to feed Merv!

Briliiant mate, love stories like that
Something simular happened to my 30 years ago, we were packing up and I left my lure hanging about 6 inches above the water. A pig ignorant catfish took it.

Had a similar experience a few years back in the bottom of the gulf at exxy. After plenty of action we finally headed to the island to park up for the arvo when I decided to try out the bibbed lure I bought from TW there and was just swimming it along side the boat about a meter from my rod tip to see the action, had the bait caster in freespool, when suddenly a mack came up boat side and smashed it, clicked the reel into gear and busted off haha. Looks like you got a schooly mack, got the boy and mrs into a few in exxy outside the marina few weeks back, werent bad on the chew, same as spaniards really
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

A trip up the Ord with hairy dog. I was winding in the lure and it was boat side when I saw a flash. The lure now was above the water, and as I bend down to have a look the lure hit the water again. Bang!
A 70cm Barra nailed it boat side and all i had to do was lift it out of the briney.
Greenest Barra I have ever seen and Black dog just pissed himself laughing.
I thought Barra was hard to catch until that moment!!!
Love those flukey stories.

Yeah its kind of like the squid at the Abrolhos and my other boy. After tossing jigs around a couple of times for nix, he spots one under the jetty, lowers the rod and gets it with one meter of line.
As hes holding it up i could see him thinking "you know jackshit about squidding eh Dad"
