after seeing a couple of posts that couples get out and fish together im curious as to how many get out there as a couple and kids as a family outing.
over the last 18 years as boat owners i can count on one hand the times the boat has hit the water without both of us on it

Refularly get out with my family but it's more for a play on the beach. With a 4.5 and 1.5yo, fishing is a push.

We get up onto the beaches
We get up onto the beaches north of Perth regularly with our 4 and 6 yo. The kids love catching herring and my vego missus has started to fish as well because she knows the fish don't go to waste. We caught some nice big hezzas yesterday as well as a couple of huge storm gardies.

My misses and son love
My misses and son love coming out her son is getting more keen. We were beach launching alot last year at Seabird so i was pretty lucky for the misses to keep coming its not always easy.

it certainly makes a cheaper
it certainly makes a cheaper day out than going to the movies and having lunch or dinner .
used to cost us as a family about $150 for the day with 2 kids in tow .fuel bait ice food and drink. cheaper than other options and they are away from the computer games as well

My Mrs is my regular deckie,
My Mrs is my regular deckie, the only time anyone else gets a gig is when she has to work weekends.
Last trip out we came in with our 4 demersals, 2 dhuies, 1 big blackarse and a good red snapper.
She caught the lot................

My new partner and kids go
My new partner and kids go out regularly, I went from a family of 4 and now a family of 6. My partner & I have two kids each simulator ages, we recently did a day trip with the kids from mandurah to penguin island. We left at 9am and back at the ramp by 5pm, stopping half way for a feed of whiting for dinner. I will say it's nice having a partner that's just as keen on fishing as I am, finding some squid is our next trip out.

My wife loves fishing with me however does not like early starts, going along way out, or being out all day. Problem is, I prefer early starts, going along way out, and being out all day.........Bugger!!!!!!

a bit rough there. just take her out there and say it will only be a couple of hours , just keep telling her wont be too much longer i just want to try that spot just out there . before you know your 20nm out and its now mid arvo .

I take the Mrs and kids 8,5&3
I take the Mrs and kids 8,5&3 out a bit and it’s usually more focused around kayaking and swimming than fishing but we still give the bread and butter species a crack. I did take just the Mrs out for a dhuey crack but she let the team down dropping 3 good fish with only myself bagging a dhu. I did float the idea of joining the ‘3 Mile Club’ on the way back in to no avail….

Keep it clean there frosty. Risking a bit at 3 mile with other boats around . Better 20 mile out lot less boats to be disturbed
Pity about dropped fish. Its always good to see kids having fun on the water no matter what age . Even us big kids.

I’ve managed to get a couple
I’ve managed to get a couple of ‘tags’ in on quite billfish days. Sometimes the wife has come and it wasn’t a solo run too.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
