ive found reasonable numbers down in the shallows around bicton, got 10 or so the other night while prawning, 3 were females, the bigger blues are hiding, only seen size or just over size ones.
I stabbed my toe at mount henry on Saturday, then waded out only 5m to where the break from the weed to sand was under the bridge and a real big blue came up and tried to eat my toe, it grabbed and I ran, I saw it, it was pretty big, well over size. But I don't recommend going there because I had the nets out at two different times last weekend and not even the bait was pulled apart. Nothing was there
There are heaps around Claremont way, lots of smalls, but plenty of decent sized ones too. They are literally everywhere in the shallows, could scoop for them and clean up.
