crabs in freshwater bay?

hey crew,
im going fishing at freshwater bay either tomorrow night or monday morning and was just going to fish on that jetty. was just wondering if its worth throwing the nets in for crabs or is it just wasting my time? cheers crew

Couldn't hurt to drop a few in. I've caught them from a boat just a few hundred yards off that jetty.

I would think there are crabs there.
Theyre in Blackwall, chidley pt, the loop etc I would think you are in with a chance.

ive been there a couple of times of late
and there not getting many crabs maybe like 4 crabs and 1 size a night.
but still worth it incase some big ones turn up in force.

use to(2 years ago) go squiding there every now and then and it use to be crowded with crab nets and a fair few comin up at times.

last time i was there (couple
last time i was there (couple weeks ago), had 4 drops with the nets and pulled up about 6 crabs. two decent males and four small females!

The crabs can be a pest there
They were grabbing my live tailor and chewing them up. I would definately throw a net out.
