This is an overhead spiral wrapped Black Hole Cape Cod special 250g.
Fuji alconites apart from the tip which is an ICMNST (Ion coated stainless with Fuji SIC ring) Alps reel seat with some added metal bling plus a Fuji rubber gimbal and it has come up a treat.
I did the pattern and my brother built virtually the rest. As usual he nailed it perfectly.
Can't wait to see it in action.

Nice looking rod. Love the
Nice looking rod. Love the blanks, my go too jigging blank.
Becareful using black hole jigging blanks and metal seats as they bend right back through the handle. I have built a lot of the Cape cod jigging blanks and Jane from JignPop strongly suggested not using metal seats.

Is that a 2-piece jigging rod

Idea behind it is due to the
Idea behind it is due to the OH reel sitting on top of the rod the natural tendency is for it to want to swing around 180 degrees when loaded and sit as a spin reel would.
By twisting the line around the blank so at some point down the rod the load is generated from underneath, therefore reducing the feeling that the rod wants to twist around in your hands.
I'm sure there are more qualified gurus to explain it better than myself though.
PS nice looking rod Bunny

I've fished with a couple of Sabre EGlass rods set up that way and I was very impressed, just seemed so natural.
