Daiwa Pluton 200H & Daiwa Demon blood

Daiwa Demon Blood
Model number DB60–2/3
Overhead 1 piece PE2/3 - Fast taper
Daiwa Pluton 200H w/ Daiwa Saltiga PE2 Braid

Any one have anything similar and can tell me if they like it?
Sounds like a pretty sweet combo, was going to go with a TR mytho instead of the demon blood but will maybe upgrade later...

I work with Jeff swears by it, does anyone have a video would be cool to see if anyone has one laying around :)
Cheers guys.

I think that rod would be overkill

Pluton's don't have all that much drag pressure as they are really just a beefed up baitcaster.

i think you would be going down the overkill path with pe2 -3 rod matched to it.

i would be thinking something along the lines of a bay rubber rod instead.

+1 for Mytho

Wed, 2014-03-12 12:50

I have the PE 1.2 - 3 spin rod matched to a Stella 4000 and it is a fantastic rod - love it!!  Also have a Saltiga 62S PE2-3 which is also a very nice rod that has been punished by some pretty big fish - still prefer the Mytho.  Hope you get some good feedback on the outfit you're looking for.

Found this video the other day of the mytho and a doggie, pretty awesome fish caught on a rod as thin as a bream rod haha.

The rod would be a little thick I reckon, I've got my Pluton on a saltiga coastal 60b for inshore jigging and love it also added a Ryoga power handle to it and love it, I think the 200sh may be a little better, I've got 30lb whiplash on mine to help with line capacity, as far as drag goes I find the Pluton locks down nicely.

 It might be worth lashing

Wed, 2014-03-12 19:34

It might be worth lashing out and getting the Ryoga Bay Jigger instead of the Pluton. Far better reel. My wife has one on a Jigwrex and it is an absolutely brilliant outfit.

I can post up the differences if you like.

They certainly look the goods Bunny, double the drag, power handle plus a few other improvements, I see japantackle has them for preorder for $555 usd, not a huge jump in price for a local Pluton.

Pluton and ryonga bay jigger

Thu, 2014-03-13 09:02

Pluton and ryonga bay jigger both have 7kg drag? Unless you go up to one of the large models which has 10kg. Or did I read the wrong thing?

The 35lb line is overkill but it would just be to thumb the spool if need be when over heavy structure. - better looking at it then looking for it...

 The Ryoga 2020, Ryoga bay

Sun, 2014-03-16 19:59

The Ryoga 2020, Ryoga bay jigger 2025 and Pluton 200 are all the same size overall but the 2025 has a deeper spool.

The 2020 Ryoga is what we

Thu, 2014-03-13 10:41

The 2020 Ryoga is what we have and it is small. About a Saltiga 15 (which no longer exist). At the time tehy wer nto making the 2025 which would have been a better reel for us for the extra line capacity it gives.
