Been looking at a size 2500/3000 sizes and including out of the past have come across:
Emeralda Colossal
Branzino, old and new models
Exist
Hyper Certate
Can someone explain what are the differences between these models apart from magseal as that came in after 2010. They all had hyper digigear at one time and that's what I'm interested in but like to know what else is different apart from looks and bearing numbers.

Certate Hyper 2500R,
Certate Hyper 2500R, Branzino 3000 and Emeraldas Colossal all share the same body with different colours from memory. 2500R Hyper and the colossal have the 3000 size body with 2500 size rotors, the Hyper had a 2500 size spool and the Colossal a 2508.. The Branzino 3000 had an exist rotor from memory... The Exist had the Air Metal body which was magnesium and only the Hyper model ran the Hyper gears.
This is all only as far as I can recall....
Have owned them all and my personal favorite was the Certate Hyper 2500R.

Just such a versatile little
Just such a versatile little reel that punch above their weight, a couple of spare spools and you can cover so many bases.

I'll second the Hyper
I'll second the Hyper Certate! Such a tough little reel. I have a Hyper Certate 4000 and I have caught everything from big Cobes to Reds and it just reels super tight and strong. Not the smoothest IMO but just strong tough in small package

Hyper Certate
x3 for the hyper certate, got 3 of them i love them that much! Like hunterdive said not the smoothest but tough as nails for a small reel. Cant comment on the others as I've never played with them.

I wish I could say the same
I wish I could say the same as above about my Certate Hyper Custom 4000, but after fishing it reasonably hard (still beautifully smooth drag) with Pe2 the body twisted so badly that the engine plate almost popped off. Sent it in to Daiwa for a repair and the gearbox had also been deformed such that if the put it in a new body the gears wouldn't mesh properly.
Great reel for light work, don't take it to Exmouth
