Submitted by MattMiller on Fri, 2011-03-18 17:51
Hey guys, thought i'd share a couple of pics from todays day off the cape with feral (Clint) and Ray. It was a little slow but still managed a good mixed bag on artificials inc. Dhu, Baldy, KG, Swallowtail, Blackbum, Sambo and a couple of Cuttlefish.
Cheers Clint for the day out, look forward to the next one.

Good work boys, as you know
Good work boys, as you know Matt we lucked out today but just as well that we did ok the other day. Weird northerly drift in glass conditions, had a troll in but no touches and ended up settling for a feed of big squiddlies. Dark dhuie mate did it come from some cave structure, much the same as tiimmbo's from yesterday.

well done boys
great baldie, we headed out this morning, amazing humid/glassy conditions headed out wide to 120,s sw of cape, found a big school of nice pinks,(kept a cple) we were going to hit the buoy for some dollies, but the wind shifted so we headed into some ground we found a few weeks back , by then it was to strong a current to hold bottom, we hooked another big pink and a small dhu(released) came home with some nice pinkies, had a troll early and managed a big pike(snook) released,

Nice baldie Matt. Still yet
Nice baldie Matt. Still yet to catch one down here.
Went out yesterday and caught a few dhuys on SPs.
Also caught a huge squid and a cuttle fish on the SPs. Just had the cuttle fish for tea. Very tasty, don't think I'll be using to many more for bait.

glassy conditions Friday
I went out from Quindalup ramp on Friday, stayed at the the tyre reef for a few hours, it was a good day with 8 large Skippy and a Sambo which I returned.
I headed in at 11am and the carpark was full, did not see more than 4 or 5 boats all morning, so assume they all went round to the west coast.

Hey Mainey
As the pics show it was glassy off the Cape too, almost too calm at one stage. You would've been OK out there in your tub.
I havn't bothered fishing the tyre reef for about 10yrs. I was under the impression that it had fallen apart and was silted over. Good to hear there's still something there.
