At your age you
should be tucked up in bed - not hanging around beaches and dark spots along the river bank. You should be aware of some of the shifty characters that hang around these spots - just look at the people posting here!

Minor backward adjustments required
I am sad that such a young bloke has had his life all put out of balance for the sake of some pollie trying to make a name for himself. It's not a good introduction to democracy for you I am sure. But alas, democracy has finally prevailed (again). Just relax, get used to fishing in the dark in these winter months and I am sure you will not feel any pain come spring and summer
Cheers, Vince

I was gonna say
what a weird thread to start in the "Reports: where they are biting" section, but this one certainly attracted a few nibbles!
Play on, you're all in it.

i think the next time it comes up for a vote in 15 -20 yrs it will get through as all the youngsters just under 18 who couldnt vote in this one will vote yes next time.

there will be a vote sooner
there will be a vote sooner than that i think. It already gon knocked down and a 3 year trial was imposed on the public anyway. I'm not for governments ruling over the masses but in this instance they shouldn't have even put it to the vote. damm baby boomers outnumbering us smarter groovier x y and whatever else generations

I'm not sure i agree with you skintba.
I'm all for it in every aspect except the fact that we couldn't get the kids to sleep.
I know people say that the curtains wont fade and the cows will still produce milk but kids will not go to bed when it is light outside regardless of whether the blinds are drawn or not.

I'm going to live
to 107 and vote it out every time one of you young whippersnappers raises the issue - and you should be out chopping wood, feeding the stock and generally being helpful at home, not out lairarsing around.

i have a 6 yr old and never
i have a 6 yr old and never had any trouble getting her to sleep whilst day light savings was here just a matter of getting good quality block out curtains and making sure there room is a comfortable enough temp for them to settle. With kids its all about routine just have to do the same thing on a consistant basis and shouldnt be having any problems.

Yeah, good in theory mate
Yeah, good in theory mate but when you have 4 kids ranging from 1.5 to 9 routine isn't that easy. It's not a worry if there tired but mate if there not and they know it's daytime outside goodluck!
Mind you that chloroform doesn't sound like a bad idea
