Deck Armour fitted

Hi all just a follow up on what I ended up putting in my Carribean 35 after trying to work out what to put down ie carpet ,teak, cork or EVA flooring . I decided on the EVA flooring as the boat is used for a split 50/50 fishing and family with the carpet not being great for fishing staying wet and holding all the squashed mullies and squid and smelling like a whores draws a week later. I got a few different prices from different suppliers and ending up choosing deck armour  by Pure Decks who where not the cheapest choice but definatly the most proffesional Troy came out spent an hour explaining the whole proccess and ways we could layi t out better and was honest about the pros and cons of the stuff . Now its all fitted I couldnt be happier with it as it feels great under foot and so far seems easy to clean the missus even likes it sh%t that never happens . Now just need to get some dhue blood on there .

great job - do they lay it in strips or is it pre-fabbed offsite? -
Also what is the writing on the deck (?) on the starboard side near the gunnel (starting at the step and moving back to the stern) - is it an inbuilt (in the deck) measuring tape?

Yeah Pure decks does a template of the deck then it gets CNC machined off site somewhere then comes in panel sections to match the deck so you can still remove the floor sections with out ripping up the decking if you had to remove fuel tank for any reason. The lettering down eack side is a measuring markings  like you said I really should of taken some better photos the fly bridge was done also must take some photos of that too it was pissing with rain when I was there Saturday arvo

Approximate cost?

Mind me asking what the approximate cost was? I’ve got a Bertie 35 and the carpet will be up for replacement soon.

yeah no problem it was about 5K  which i choked at first but still love the stuff took the kids whiting fishing yesterday and as usual they got more bait on the deck than over the side and simple hose off when back instead of the carpet i had which used to stay wet and stink for days and hold on to anything squished into it . Feel free to pm me if you wanted to come out and have a look at the boat deck.

I also have B35 with old carpet. You mention the pros and cons and some alternatives. What was the next best option you considered and the cost /company?

cork was the other one i liked but was pretty expensive cant remember the exact costs now but nearly double  the other was just new carpet but lower pile so not to hold water as much.
