decided to make a fishwrecked account
thought I'd post up a few photos from a recent trip to the south coast deep jigging.
was a great trip getting quite a good bag of puka nannies and a gemfish
using oceans legacy jigs

Heard they’re pretty good
We kept it, got the fillets in the freezer but yet to try it

They are very good eating
So good in fact that they have almost been completely wiped out in NSW from over fishing. There was a total ban on catching them about 30yrs ago and the stocks have never recovered. https://www.fish.gov.au/report/248-Gemfish-2018

I was using a shimano
I was using a shimano trindad 16 and oceans legacy Elementus pe5 rod(designed for deep jigging) and 30lb braid, lighter the better for line i reckon less bow in the line

some great fish, need to give the deep jigging a go sometime.
My spots are so secret even the fish don't know about them !
