deep water point boat ramp

used the deep water point boat ramp last Friday for the first time , I cant believe the Melville council has the cheek to charge people to use it the facility is a disgrace the ramp itself is as slippery as an eel and has no wash down facility . I spoke to a ranger that was at the ramp when I coming out and he said they get dozens of complaint's about it but council refuses to do any thing about , Guess when some one gets hurt on the ramp and they get sued they will do something about it

Yeah terrible ramp, they
Yeah terrible ramp, they must pull in a heap of cash from the tickets, something like maylands would be perfect, floating jetties and the highest pressure wash down anywhere!

Thumbs up to city of bayswater. I see there is also a floating jetty at the ramp at the end of king william street now. That is a recent edition.

The important point here is
The important point here is what gets charged by the council and what gets spent in return.... city of bayswater - dont charge at king william street, dont charge at maylands. ... floating jetties at both. City of melville - charge at deep water point, charge at point walter.... crap ramps at both.
Know where I will go....

I don't mind paying at
I don't mind paying at Leeuwin as the ramp is nice and parking is good.
Wifeling, dogling and I headed down thre a couple of weeks back in the evening so I could go for a swim for crabs. The thing that pissed me off was the 'NO DOGS ALLOWED' signs all over the place.
We ended up parking a little bit down the road (towards Attadale) and set up on the beach (where dogs were allowed) and swam whilst my dog ran around the shallows trying to jump on blowies.
I dislike councils that do not allow responsable dog owners to play on the beach.

I think you'll find that
I think you'll find that ramp is in east fremantle shire as opposed to melville. Dogs laws are a whole new discussion! The responsible majority always suffer because of the irresponsible minority!!!!

The Deepwater point ramp is
The Deepwater point ramp is a joke considering how much they charge for parking, on an average day they would be making at least $250 a day on parking and can't afford to make the ramp safe for users...

King William
I like the new flaoting finger jetty but its always crammed with fishers.
They don't like moving for a boat.
Who has right of way?

Considering its a boat ramp
Considering its a boat ramp jetty, it would be ridiculous if it wasn't the boat....
