Deepwater flatty

Took the young bloke out wide for a bash on Thursday and in between the grey band , dhuies and nearly every other demersal species around he pulled this flatty which went 81cm and just over 3kg

Nice flatty
Have seen a few big ones come off the trawlers in Essperance. Fish and chips shops went mad for them. Quality fillet. Looks like you guys had a good day out. The grayban on jig is something I'd like to tick off.

Yeh Gav Walpole indeed , and I still have the edge on him but only just , he got his first big dhu on a jig as well as a double header of blue eye last trip which he wont let me forget!
Did you head to Esperance again ?
