Just heard on the radio that the snapper laws in Shark Bay gulfs have been relaxed, with an allowance of 5 kg of snapper fillet in possession. Guess you will have to leave skin on for road transport ID.

Nope...
Its 5kg of any fish, and the reduced possession limit applies only to the Freycinet area.

Yeah it really is nice up there.
Hopefully this means more people can holiday there and get to take home a pinky without the place copping a hiding. Pretty sensible management by the sounds of it.
