Massive derby coming up on sunday...
who's going to the game?
who are you tipping?
Either way should be a really close one with both teams in good form, and both with a lot to play for. Freo for a top 4 finals berth and for WCE a top 8 finish on the cards.
Key defenders out for both teams, WCE with the definite ruck advantage (only if Nic Nat plays), Freo with the better midfield. Should be a high pressure, low scoring affair.. haha
looking forward to sitting on the couch on sunday with a few coldies...

we didn't play well last week
we didn't play well last week against the saints. turnovers almost cost us the game. Scoring options were definitely better with pav and sandi back. even though sandi didn't have a great game first up (pretty poor really) and pav had a limited impact, they did take the focus off mayne, ballaz and walters. luke mc is a big out, but the eagles also have significant outs and only half a flat nik nat. they will struggle to get it into the hands of their forwards. dawson to shutdown kennedy, best bet would be to have le cras front and centre at his feet, because dawson will spoil spoil spoil.

I think it will be won in the midfield. each forward line has the potential to kick goals, and the eagles forward line is certainly more potent on paper and current form. if they get the supply I don't think Freo's defence as good as it is, will stop them from kicking a winning score. but having said that, I think Freo's midfield will be too big, too strong, too quick on the outside and the eagles don't have the list on the field at the moment to stop enough of them. the eagles forwards won't get the supply they need to get the opportunity. at the other end, freo just have to manufacture enough goals to keep the score board pressure on.
Dockers to win the midfield battle, and the game (in a close one).

Reason for losing, like I mentioned earlier they don't have the pace in the midfield and simply ran out of legs. Good onya Eags for putting up a bloody good showing. gifts? pearce gets subbed out with concussion and no free kick. eagles score as a result of embleys high hit. then later in the quarter schofield gets a littlle tap acoss the neck and gets a kick right in front of goal.... in the end the umpiring didnt impact the final result. bottom line is the eagles havent beaten a top eight team yet and theyre not good enough to. great win against adelaide last week... adelaide are 12th people. your team is not the premiership contenders that you make them out to be. book your end of season tickets now boys, because you're not going playing finals this year. and start looking for a new coach beacause woosha has lost the passion.

The geelong result is no need to panick and right fremantle off. analyse the derby and you'll see the players who stepped up when it was needed yesday were barlow and mundy. neither of whom played against geelong. we're going along ok. some people will just never accept that fact

Well done Pav, nice attack on the footy, inspiring leadership, Mitch Brown's head is full of air but it sure doesnt look like a footy. Pav has carried that team for years, now they are carrying him, time to hang up the boots mate.
Boocoast gave it a crack, just shows that even an outside top 8 side with half their team out are capable of beating the Wanchors non premiership contending game plan, a bit of intent at the contests and pressure, just lacked polish in the 2nd when they could have put more score board pressure on and the legs in the end. Doesnt help when match winners like Nat can only put in half a games worth of effort. Good move havin Kennedy and Darling up the ground, no point leavin them up forward getting cold. Had to LOL at Waters running into open goal and missing, lucky to get a free. I didnt see Kennedy 'cleanin his boots on the door mat', but then again, he only kicked 2, haha, here comes Roughy for the coleman! Pfft Carn the Hawks, too easy if these sides are in the finals lol

i think you'll find i posted that we were smashed by geeling, and i posted that we played like crap against st kilda. according to the commentators we played crap today. right up to the point that we were 34 points in front with 7 minutes to play. we won by 28. i would have been happy to win by 1 point. we have four points, knocking on the door of the top four. we're going along ok, not great but ok. we'll build up to the finals. happy to keep flying under the radar until then.

If the Wanchors had a voice in their heads saying they can beat the cats, leading up to, during and after the game a fortnight ago, well Id have to say they are the ones to be worried about.....I do have to admit Randall that you are more of a realist these last few weeks tho, one week at a time, 4 points is 4 points. Cant believe your not talkin up the 19 goals kicked. A good spread with most mids getting amongst them only cos Boocoast mids couldnt go with them in the end.

the 19 goals was good. last two weeks have been nuch better and that comes purely from the fact that having pav there, no matter what his form is like, he draws the best defender away from mayne. having two quality smalls there as well same same. might be back to low scores for the next couple while pav sits one or two out.

Pav should be ok, he pulled out of the bump as soon as he saw his head. Perhaps a caution. Embley on the other hand..... he's in trouble. carry over points from his last offence, then KO's a bloke by burying his shoulder into his head as he's over the ball.... 2 weeks is my prediction. As players get to the twilight of their careers they just seem to get dirtier... quite disapointing as Embley was once a very good footballer.

The umpiring was iffy, but equally for both teams. Didn't effect the result at all.
Dockers to finish 3rd and eagles 8th at years end (essendon will finish dead last with no points and 0%).
