Got to our spot this morning, and I played deckie while my sons and father-in-law fiddled around with stinking bait for an hour and a half, catching sambos/sweep/undersized snapper, and a just sized dhuie. The old man, a dyed-in-the-wool handliner from yesteryear, was becoming frustrated with the newfangled fancy pants young whippersnapper overhead outfit I set him up with and decided to call it quits.

Quick as a flash, I whipped my trusty PE3 weapon out of its sheath and sent a 100gm pink Black Magic (Ranger closing down sale, $10) to the coral below...one jig, two jig, not quite three jig, BAM! The old man never even had a chance to open his gob and give me more crap about not using bait...the little Lemax smashed 14 kilos of prime WA sea beef in record time and all the stinking bait fishos were finally given their come-uppance. They realised they were in the company of greatness and had to snivel the rest of the day away, scraping by with some baldies and snapper just to save face.

More than enough fish for us to take home now, rest of the time will be spent chasing shallow water light tackle stuff.
