Direction Bank
Well sunday is looking good 1m swell <10knot wind and I am thinking of doing my first ever trip to direction bank in the new rig, did it once before but that was in the 4.8 alu not 5.75 fiber :) somehow I would have liked to use it inshore a little more just to be 100% the engine ticks smoothly butits had its 300hr service I saw the receipts and it now has the new raymarine unit and the radio works from hillarys to freo ;) so I dont think I can resist the call of the bank :)
Anyone else heading out that far on sunday ? what channel will u be on ? it be good to say hello :) also is anyone willing to offer me one or two spots to try so I can have a place for the gps to hit up ? I have heard you can fish on the inside ridge or outside ridge for good results but there are no nautical charts of the area apart from inside the gps unit ... I aint looked there yet.

Synthos, the back edge drop off in the 60-80m area is good, if the current and or fishing is slow you can fish on top of the bank 30-40m or on the east side of direction bank 35-45m. There's been some good fish taken out there lately.....alot of ground in between fish sometimes!

we found the fish
we found the fish better outside the bank 60-80m Menopaul fished inside the bank whith no joy, we will hit some inside stuff and head out a little later in the day ..

What sort of bet is
What sort of bet is Direction bank? Are there other good lumps out there on the way? A foaf has a 6.5m boat, but never caught anything bigger than a herring and we're looking for some place to go on Sunday.
Two Rock is out for me - I have my RST on Saturday =)
