Yup, 4WD
Got the same email - that's why I'm glad I have a 4WD.
Not a good start to a fishing day.

They dont log on to fishwrecked, look what happens!
They must not be a member of this site. I have taken my boat there a few times and put it in with my car in. Reading threw the forums only a week ago, some one gave the advice not to put your boat in with a car there.......if they had been fishwrecked...his car now might not be waterwrecked !
Thanks for everyones advice on here..cheers

I must say that the Mindarie
I must say that the Mindarie ramp is some what designed wrong with the concrete run off having the wrong off set to the wheels. Its been designed more for water run off and not vehicle grip. It should have the same pattern as the Ocean Reef .ramps (little squares) When you attempt to drive out the car wants to slide on the diagonal. It tends to be most slippery during low tide exposing the slippery long term sludge on the ramp. I do remember having 2 great blokes help me push the ute up to dry rampage. It doesnt matter how heavy your car is (ute weighs 1860kgs), the moment the back wheels hit the sludge its all over. Mind you I would rather get my ute pushed out than forget to put the bungs in the boat ..

I could be wrong
But i think the ramp is owned by the Marina. The parking ticket proceeds go to them. Lucky they have not closed it down totally due to the housing developments(waking people up at all hours etc) I will be peed off if they do as I find it the most user friendly ramp. Little if any rage and minimal waiting.

Yeah Shag it is.
He is good bloke who made an honest mistake. The biggest issue I have is that no body offered to pull the car out. He had to wait for the RAC tow truck to pull him out. Im sure he said that the car was issured for such an event.

My biggest fear
Yes my biggest fear launching & retrieving, have 4x4 but sometimes a bit touchie at times. Can't believe nobody helped, we towed out a leisure cat off of Leeman Sea Rescue ramp, boat was very heavy, little rav 4 they where trying to retrieve didn't work, our toy did the trick.

heavy!
I do agree that it would have to be a heavy 4be to pull it out. My 100 series pulls 3.5 ton so I would offer providing the driver hitched it up/went for a swim

If they had of pulled from
If they had of pulled from the bitumen area where it is nice and flat it would have pulled out with no drama's. Lock into Low 4wd and take it easy.

I see the ramp at Two Rocks
I see the ramp at Two Rocks got a good dose of chlorine the other day ,killed everything weed ,slime, crabs, fish ,the smell was real strong , but it worked as the ramp is ok now. i guess its a cheep way of getting rid of the slime. we use to scrub the cray floats with it, worked a treat.

Chlorine?
Is that legal? I wouldn't wish a submerged car on anyone during a launch. But would have thought any intentional action that results in marine detriment would have consequences?

Chlorine
Don't think its legal, CPBA uses high pressure steam cleaner to clean ramps at low tide and over night pens/jetties, get bird poo (bloody pelicans splat) off of jetties.

lucky it was a ford, atleast
lucky it was a ford, atleast they salvaged it, if it was a holden they might have just left it there lol.
not a very nice way to start the day for sure, or end it, pretty embarrasing and something everyone will remember for years to come.
