dissapointed

Just had to vent.
cray pot flogged over weekend! spewin. would not have broken off/drifted, and was searching exact spot.
hope the low lifes get food poisoning.....really amazes me that there are actually dickheads out there who would do this :/ tempted to rig the next ropes with some nice surprises lol.

Silly question...didnt have 10 plus meters of floating rope did ya.

These do get hit...Pot could actually still be in same spot.

 That's not a silly question

That's not a silly question and not assuming it was the case on this occasion but you do see a hell of a lot of pots set out there with way too much rope just asking to be cut off... These stainless props make pretty short work of cutting through pot rope....

nah, was off hillarys, rope was actually quite well measured in about 16 m of water and only really had maybe 2-3m or so spare rope before going deep, just enough to deal with any swell etc., has been in same spot all season.... have scouted around to see if can spot any remaining rope in case that is what happened, but no luck :/

I got out on the weekend

Wed, 2018-03-28 13:12

I got out on the weekend hadn't checked my pots for a week and a half just out of herring bay so high traffic area. Pots were where i left them heaps of growth on ropes 1 pot was stuck but got it out, no crays though bait was demolished bare bones left. As i was rebaiting we drifted abit and as i went to take off i realised that i was ontop of someone's rope kinda had a whing at the misses for not saying that we were ontop of a pot but then i realised it was already chopped i didnt have anything to tie to it on the boat so had to leave it. So if you have any pots in about 9m out of herring bay with brand new blue rope with about 15m floating on the surface your pot is still there i didn't run it over well i did but not with the prop but you will need to fix the float problem .
