hi i have been freediving for a little while and are finding it hard to equilise due to always having some congestion in ear/sinus, does anyone know an ways to relieve this
i hav been just swallowing to equilise but its sometimes hard to swallow while freediving and the pinch and blow method does not seems to work going head first
how can i learn frenzel equilizing and how do you do it
i really really love spearfishing and freediving and this problem is annoying seeing as i can hold my breath pretty good and i think frenzel might be the last hope

Have you tryed wiggling your jaw?
We were told about it when I got my ticket in highschool. It didnt really work for me, until I was having trouble one day and couldnt do pinch and blow. You sorta push your bottom jaw out a bit and move your bottom jaw from left to right and swallow. Repeat.
Maybe at the pressure it is more effective but I struggle to practice it on the surface.

I just read 90% of it
Tryed some exercises along they way. Seemed ok, by tying it all together seems key. Good luck!

better get practising if you
better get practising if you need to do it in a week. The doc is a bit of reading but most is theory, there's really only a few steps you need to learn, then put it together.
I've tried and can do the moves but haven't had the chance to test it at depth yet so who knows.
I looked at it cos I can't equalize when head first like you.

You don't smoke by any chance
Increases conjestion by a factor of around 10 ...........which was why I finally found a reason to give up and now have absolutely no problem clearing my ears head down or up on descent

no way
dont do anything like that
right i went from holding my breath from 30 secs to 1 minute and 20 secs which i think is pretty good but of course was conducted by the breathing teckniques which help so much
