I have just bought a new stradic and was wondering if it would make any diffrence to the reels performance if i removed the drag clicker? does the clicker add extra drag preasure when the line first pulls from the spool?

Pretty sure it evens out the drag/makes it smoother. I don’t think it would add much actually pressure tho. How loud is it? IMO I can’t really see the point in removing it

Its a spool clicker. Lets you know if the spool is turning. It doesnt add any pressure to the existing drag pressure. Probably not advisable on a new reel but you can stretch the spring on the clicker out abit so there's less tension.
I suggest take it back to where you purchased it from and ask them what they can do for you, that way it doesnt void the warranty.
