Dusk fishing off Mandurah on the FFB
Submitted by RynoJ on Tue, 2015-09-01 18:57
G'day guys, just wandering if anyone has done any dusk/night fishing on the five fathom bank off mandurah. Was thinking about heading out on a still evening, anchoring and burley the crap out of the water and chucking a couple of baits out the back. Has anyone had much luck in doing somthing like that.

Did you get a length & weight of that Pink Kirky?
Got a fat as 850mm specimen a week or two ago and the guess was 8kg but its always very hard to guess!!
Yours looks like a horse
We had other 850's but the one fella was considerably heavier.

We have done well with fishing on dusk& during the day around the 5 fathom... We normally drift but only 3km out from the cut we have picked up dhuies, snapper (my mate not me...yet), plenty of cuttlefish, blackass, sweep, big skippy, snook, plenty of yakkas, & sharks...

i go out regardless of tides
i go out regardless of tides and moon phases. Some days I come back with fish, other days I don't... I get out when ever I can as I'm often time poor due to family & work, so to me it's always worth putting the boat in!
