To be honest mate, not sure
To be honest mate, not sure but surley something big must like them. I have heard they make good snapper bait!
Would be a good tailor bait down the beach or mulla bait
Bigger then mulie and stay on ya hook better not to mention fresher
I will chuck a few out this weekend for bait and post up my results

Supposed to be prety good for Mulloways
I know they are popular yellowtail kingfish baits on the east coast so they would be a good samson fish bait too I would guess.

Hi Ya, The only time I have
Hi Ya,
The only time I have seen scalies and yellowtail caught at that horrible place was when I didn't have my fishing gear with me. Each time I have was there specifically to get some, they weren't.
My family says it's just me so i'm begining to get a complex. :-(
Cheers.

With that many around you
With that many around you would think that there must be some bonito or something lurking after them :)

Do they freeze well
What is the best way to store then if you wanted to keep some for future fishing trips?
Many thanks Colin Hay

Yep they freeze very
Yep they freeze very well
Best way i have found is freezer bags with about 6 scalies per bag so when you go just grab the amount out the freezer to use

The best way to freeze they
The best way to freeze they is to get a bag of pool salt, lay a few down and sprinkle with salt, then wrap and freeze. I also like to freeze small numbers at a time so that when I take them out I use them before they go off.
