Hi Guys,
Thinkin about going away for the long weekend and fishin. Obviously probs a bit late to book some good spots now...
Was thinking maybe trying fishing for trout for the first time. Would it be a good time to try that anywhere around Perth for a holiday??
If not, what would you recommend around that time a year for a good fishing trip?? (landbased, not boat)
Thanks,
Mitch

dont go south like thousands
dont go south like thousands of others do. try looking at maybe kalbarri or if thats too far try jurien bay, dongara or s bend.
from my understanding all these places can be great for lb fishing and not too far to drive
RUSS and SANDY. A family that fishes together stays together

Yeah up north would probably be better, whats the weather like up there during April? Cervantes/Jurien sounds good maybe.
Is the Jetty at Jurien completed yet??

My advice is to not go north
My advice is to not go north at the moment. Kalbarri is bare from the shore due to high water temps and the river flooding. But heading south you should find some salmon and sharks if anything.

apparently up near jurien bay
apparently up near jurien bay most of the fish are been washed up due to the hot water temperatures like spence said. there was a news report on it about a month ago so im not sure what it is like atm. there are plenty of good spots down margaret river way for landbased
