Easter Roos
Submitted by scotto on Wed, 2021-03-31 12:57
I'm heading north for the easter break. I usually drive late at night to avoid (fuckin) caravans, trucks, general farknuckles that dont know how to overtake, etc.
just curious to see how the roos have been of late?

Shorter
If you are turning onto Gingin brook road off Wannerroo road, turn on to Orange Spring road and later turn off to the right and it brings you down near Regans Ford, cuts off about 10km

the coastal way past lano - indian ocean drive is the way to go at night IMO
no big roos on it as the coastal scrub 1s r small compared to inland
also virtually no traffic on the road between 2100 - 0400
few goats south of overlander - further south than normal started just north of binnu
standard cattle on road just south of carnarvon and a few on the minilya exxie rd close to minilya side

I've seen the occasional big
I've seen the occasional big roo hit on Indian Ocean drive as I use it a lot, but not many. I do agree traffic wise very early morning though. We normally head off on our northern trip 4am ish and don't see a car till we hit the main highway again usually.
