Echo sounder needed

The echo sounder on our rescue boat has died and if someone has one sitting in their shed gathering dust could they consider donating it to a good cause, notably Carnarvon Sea Rescue. It doesn't have to be anything special as all it has to do is show the depth.

I am willing to pay for postage or arrange pick up.

well guys with a Furuno 665

Wed, 2011-04-06 11:53

well guys with a Furuno 665 head on the site for sale ($200) and a transducer P66 ($100) together it would be $300.

I am prepared to put up $50 towards it,

anyone else want to contribute, we could easily raise $300 and get that Furuno and P66 to them and it's a good cause!

cheers

Echo Sounder

I would also be happy to donate $50 towards this - by reducing the P66 transducer (that I have for sale) to $50 for this cause - and I will cover postage to Carnarvon if required

You can never help the Sea Rescue Volunteers enough

So only $200 to go

Cheers

Thu, 2011-04-07 16:46

ok folks, easiest for me to take the bull by the horns, as I drew it out...lol

I'll pick up the transducer from Paul Jackson and pay him $50 for it, plus his $50 reduction has that covered.

Then we need to get three more donations of $50 each to Paul Green.

I take it that is : Crasny, Lamby and Redfin. I will send you details of the account ASAP,

then I can arrnage with Paul Green and Carnavonite to get it up North. We always have truckies going that way, so Any one driving up next week around Tuesday?  come on you big softhearted truckers,.... can you drop it off in Carnavon? I'm in Swan Valley so easy to meet you guys around there or even at the Gingers Truck stop.

To all you guys well done, best $50 we ever spent, except for the drinks that got our girl friends that became our wives into the sack when they where younger...lol

cheers

Tony

A big thank you for all involved from myself and the crew at sea rescue for your contributions towards its purchase.

If possible can one of the crews heading up for the "Fishwrecked" comp pick it up and give me a ring when they get in phone range or drop it off at one of the servos to be collected. PM me for my number.

Been off line due to shifting camp. Picked the sounder up last Saturday, showed it off to all the members and they all said to say thanks to all involved. Ordered a new power cable from Taylor Marine and this will arrive with our new boat possibly next week. Once its installed and up and running I will sticks some pics up.

Thanks again to all involved
