Eco Beach - Broome

Hi,
I am heading up to Eco Beach in Broome later this week. Any idea how this fishing is off the Beach? What sort of gear and rig should I be using?
Will have the kids with me so happy to target whatever fish are around, no matter how big or small! I've told them they are only eating what they catch; so don't want them to go hungry :-)

Went up there 4 or 5 years in a row and saw Mackies, queenies and some other trav's off the beach. In saying that, all I ever got off the beach was a dart, on my wedding morning.
I have fished off the beach and had a shark and fish swim between me and my bait...
If you can get down to Jacks Creek then your options are a bit better, or even better, off the beach (not sure if they do charters still) as we got Gt's big big mulloway, masks, tuna, cobia, Barra and plenty of mangrove jack in the creek.
last fish I got up there was a bluebone.
fishing is hit and miss dependent on the tide. Big tides = dirty water and not much action though the 800m walk from the beach to the water is cool. We have picked up mud crabs directly out the front.

Managed to get a a couple of 60cm Mulloway, a spotted shad, dozens of whiting and a couple of rock cod. Not bad fishing once I worked out where they were feeding.

only needed to cast out about 5-10 meters from shore tops at high tide. Any farther and there were no bites. Thankfully my 7 year old discovered this when she took over my rod and couldn't cast as far!
