The Egi Rod Revolution is here!

We've just received our New range of Egi rods. The Egi/Squid revolution has certainly taken off and with the palethora of squid jigs available the range of rods has also increased!

We stock the "Etuoh" brand and the range is called "Egi Force". These longer rods are designed to punch out squid jigs a long way and will allow you to work the squid jig better. For the keen landbased squidder its a must and nothing like Egi Bling eh Cool

I know Honsu has been very dedicated to squiding & the use of such rods for a while now. I've just purchased one also as i must admit i like my rock squiding after work for a lazy few hours.........okay drink a lazy few bourbons too Laughing

These upmarket Egi rods start at $249 and FW member discounts apply!

of coz you can use it for

Wed, 2008-11-19 19:02

of coz you can use it for anything else. Like jig rods, you dont use it just for jigging, most ppl use it for bottom fishing and trolling as well.

Its designed to squid fish but doesnt mean you cant use it for anything else. Like bream rods, Im sure you can catch other fish with it....

Ive been using my Egi rod for salmon trout, tailor, skippies and buff bream as well.

Made another long drive

Sat, 2009-07-11 21:31

Made another long drive south today to visit Ryan & Honsu down at Oceanside, and got myself the white Egi Force rod.

It is 8'3", loads up very nicely and weighs as much as a twig.

After receiving a very generous FW member discount, and some Freo locations to try, I headed out for a quick flick.

Up until now, I have been using a 7'2" Nitro Power Bream rod for squidding.  Once I tried the Egi Force, I knew straight away it was made for squidding.  It casts a mile, doesn't weigh anything, strong blank to aggressively twitch the jig and it will also make an awesome rockwall fishing rod for herring and such.

I never fish Freo, and never squid at lunchtime, but I managed 2 little squid so was very happy.

Can't wait to try it out this week in my local spots.

Yeah that was at Hillarys.

Very sad to see so much rubish and plastic bags in the water.

My jig even stunk after fishing there.

Over development may be restricting the movement of water through there and making it a stink pit lagoon.

It's becoming pretty filthy

Wed, 2009-07-22 08:52

It's becoming pretty filthy down there hey dasho, I've pulled in a couple of old crab nets and old bottom fishing rigs with 20oz sinkers etc on em. I used to catch at least 4 or 5 every time at hillarys, but last couple of trips have produced 1. My Egi Force rod does an awesome job but!

blowies

Wed, 2009-07-22 21:51

And those bloody blowies are the worst. There should be a poison that just the blowies can die from, in the swan would be cool. All we'd catch is bream and lizards.
