If you have a 4WD
and you don't mind some superficial scratches in the paintwork go down to Kilcarnup towards MR - it's about 4k in from Caves Rd and when you hit the coast veer right to where the dinghys are stored up from the beach - looks like reasonable beach based fishing and good enough beach for the kids. Also anywhere north of Dunsborough along the beaches towards Busso for Herring and Whiting and the odd Tailor. Canal Rocks is ok, Bunkers Bay etc - there are heaps of spots along the coast - just beware of the waves if rock fishing - 6-7m swell today.

There are so many options down that way Chris
Eagle Bay, Injinup, Smith's etc. In Dunsborough itself if you go down the beach road (I think it is called Geographe Bay Rd) heading north till you see an accomodation place called White Sands you will notice on the beach side that there is a track leading through the bush to the bay. I have caught some pretty good fish around that area.

Injinup i hook 5 drop 2 on the monday
Tuesday fished eagle bay and the beach is nice and flat, and easyer to pull the fish up the beach , But you got to get out a long way with the sinker
And i say for the best place to fish is injinup
And if you head down the steps and turn left, That left side the fishing is alot better

go to the bunker bay rocks
go to the bunker bay rocks and throw in some burley and u have a chance at alot of fish. you can get a heap of massive herring and big sand whiting on the bottom. also have a big rod ready with a gangs in case a sckool of salmon come past either 4 sport or 4 dinner. all along the beach you can get whiting and herring.

Good luck mate. I fish
Good luck mate. I fish Inji's throughout the year. Salmon have pretty much finished mainly tailor and herring at the moment. Be careful down there this weekend with the 3m swell that's forecast.

with herring bits of prawn
with herring bits of prawn or mulie on a single hook maybe with a bit of burley to help bring them in. use a smaller rod for more fun.
