Anyone got the latest on available epirbs ANYWHERE!?
there'd be beers in it for anyone who can put me onto one at short notice...
interstate is fine.
gareth 61929485, 0427005873. cheers
also, anyone been let off a fine on account of units being totally unavailable?
i would think that it would be pretty irresponsible for DPI to actually turn off the old system and start fining dudes in this situation. right?

The 121.5mhz system isn't "turned off" by DPI unfortunately. You'll only get picked up by an aircraft passing overhead, not satellites.
DPI will just tell you that we've had 2 years warning to get a new one, which we have, not many people thought it would get to be this hard to get one but.
