Agrees with bushy. Its brilliant. I recommend making the effort to get to the Duke of Orleans bay.
Species likely to encounter
Nannygai, Pinkies, Blue Groper, Harlequin, Black Arse, Queen Snapper, King George Whiting, Gummies, Sweep and big skippy.
Stacks of Abalone if you like eating them. Make sure you have a license and take as per quota. Fisheries/ranger are quite diligent on keeping abalone collectors honest. I was collecting abs east of hopetoun and got pulled up by the ranger when i least expected it. Thats a good thing. just watch out for the bities......

In the afternoons after the charter boats are done i recomend backing your car to the end of taylor street jetty and set a burley trail hapening. I try and catch fresh squid or cuttlefish from there and then use it to catch KG Whiting using the cuttlefish waste as burley to bring them in. Otherwise its herring and squid but its a good safe spot if you got kids. theres usually someone else trying to do the same backing their cars in. snooze and lose. You can also catch KG's off from Bandy Creek Harbour but you work harder.
