Etec 115

My mate is thinking of selling his 2007 Etec 115 with 250h on it but dont know how much to ask for the motor with all gauges and controls
How much should he ask for it ?? I said 12k

The 20000 stella cracked the 150 kg the other day and is still going strong.

in my opinon 12k is to much.
we have just recently bought a etec ,2009 200hp demo with 20 hrs for 16k, (although there was an issue with the hours, sorted now) it come with brand new controls,gauges,s/s prop ect ect ect.
but saying that there was nothing around at the time bar older 200's for 8k-12k.
he can always barter down on the price but you cant go up.
its an etec, what more could you want?

it is in semi retirement
It is only ever going to run 15 kilo mono and gets serviced by shimano every three months or so.He only uses it to switch up marlin.

One of my customers engines, toasted #5 piston. Plently of issues before that aswell.

the dealer sold it as 20hr, when it was hooked up, it come up as 638hrs.(i spat it big time)
brp stepped in and replaced the engine with a brand new 0hr 2010 model.
somebody will be getting there arsehole reemed for that one hey?

makes two.
Do they still replace whole motors or are they only repairing now.A mate has two boats one up north one down here.He has a 200 ho etec on one and a 225 etec on the other against my advice.What should he keep an eye on Andy?

they replaced the whole dressed power head with a 2010 model plus the cost of fitting, we did try for the compleate motor but they would not go that far.
as it turned out, the motor had only done 273 registered hrs and they give us the full 5yr factory warranty on the compleate eng.( these computors track every thing)
better than a kick in the arse that you would normaly get

But with the U S crisis and the shear amount they had to replace i was told they had gone to repair only not replace.Your case is a bit different as that was just underhanded from the start.I bet he still sleeps well at night too.I think i would have trouble with my conscience if i ripped someone off like that.
