What do people think about the evakool 12 volt/240 volt car fridge freezers, am in the middle of looking around atm and have heard some good reports on these units as they are more insulated etc, running the good compressors as well and alot less power consumption than both the engel and waeco.
any comments both good and bad welcome

bit different but pretty effective
good to freeze stuff in one end and cool in the other. the one we used had all the element in one end.
by the time we got to exxy next morning all the beers (refilled overnight) at the one end were frozen.
did cool pretty well though. from memory it may have needed a transformer to run off 240V? maybe an older model or i am mixed up... it was a thirsty trip!

awesome
they are an awesome fridge i have the 110 litre and i have used it everywhere up north with no problems even had it down south in pissing down rain just dont have the transformer in rain......but still would not buy other fridge ever again be staying with evakool from now on...
alot of people get turned off the cause the motor out the side of it but when they advertise 85ltr or 110ltr you are getting that much unlike weaco and engel
mako you will make the right choice i no the rep for evakool really well since i got mine and he is all ways helpful when you need to ask something
