Have a read here
yanks have a long thread going on ownershiop of g2's on THT. probably worth a read. The G2's are somewhat different beasts to the original Etecs.

I have a G2 200HO nearing
I have a G2 200HO nearing 30hrs I bought new. Have had one power steering fault code come up that was cleared by dealer and hasnt returned - steering wasn't effected just the code came up. Getting more power, greater speed (extra 8 kn at full revs) and less fuel consumption than my old 200 Verado gave me so no complaints from some first hand experience. Oil usage is negligible and just something I have forgotten about.
