There is such a variety of different sorts of fishing in Exxy it really depends on what you are after. There's quite a lot of posts on here where people discuss their exmouth trips. Have you had a look through them, using the search function, as a guide?

I'd suggest a 6'6 - 7' rod paired with 10-15lb braid and that 3000 sized reel for plastics and lighter lures. Makes catching the small fish fun as well as having backbone to pull out the larger models. A 6-10 kg rod may be a bit heavy for that reel, would probably balance better with a 4-6 kg rod or there abouts

From a kayak I'd suggest a rod around the 6ft mark, as personally I believe it makes landing fish easier. I agree with hutch though on having a lighter rod as a 6-10kg rod would not make a balanced outfit with the 3000 reel. Most of the fish you will catch from a kayak around exmouth, unless you are specifically targeting game fish behind the reef, will be comfortably brought in on a 4-6kg rod. Also makes the fight with the fish more enjoyable rather than just skull dragging it up off the bottom.
