 Your gear is plenty good

Your gear is plenty good enough mate. There is plenty of other bycatch as well as GTs. Have a good drive around in between fishing,  there are endess options and all can produce.

the Learmonth jetty can go well on the right day.

don't landbased fish these days but have caught some good tuna and many a Queeny off there. live hardy heads work well.

 Hey mate,

Consider hiring a dingy, last time I was up the missus and I hired a boat and headed out straight from tantabiddi and had an awesome day flicking lures for spanglys, no spots needed just headed for the bombies.

Hi Tailor. We are in Exmouth

Thu, 2016-08-25 21:03

Hi Tailor. We are in Exmouth at the moment. Been battling to find the GTs but have caught some just not that big. Try up on the point near the wreck. From the wreck go east along the beach to the flat rocks and try poppers and richter plugs on sunset. If you can get moon rise or set on sunset they should fire up. You can also try the lighter gear for Queenfish there. Beware though if the brutes are around, they will bust you up on the reefs.

For the lighter gear, head down into the Cape Range park and fish the beaches there. Lot of Golden Trevally around that will take a range of lures and soft plastics.  A few Queen fish around too. It's worthwhile to wade the flats early morning with soft plastics.

We have found the west side is fishing better. Flats in the gulf seem to be quite cold.

Hope that helps
