Exmouth shore based GT success

Hi lads and lady's,
Thought I would chuck some pics up from my week long Exmouth adventures, headed up with the intention of targeting GTs from shore which I managed to do quite successfully with 4 fish up to 20kgs, also had some cracking light tackle fishing with Giant herring, cobia, shark macks and the normal assortment or small trevally and queenies. Pics are not the best as I was solo the whole time but I hope you get some enjoyment out of them!

Bloody oath
Nice work! I’d be more than happy to have those sort of results land based! Nothing wrong with a cobia from the shore. You did well by the looks

Did well
Did well, as Peter said, really hit n miss and usually a lot of tackle given up for success. Well done.

You certainly would of had your arms stretched
Those trevors would have given your arms and back a good work out, well done

Great fish! That's a fair few casts in those pics. Fished the same rocks with my cousin a few months ago. He had one similar size GT sharked in close and we only got the head (some blokes had drawn a big hammerhead in close with their big baits about an hour before). The next night I had a hit and it missed the hook. Devo. Did that happen to you at all? Great effort on the fish anyway. People think it just happens up there but you need to out in the effort!!

Cheers guys there sure was a hell of a lot of casts between fish but landing the big one made the back pain worth it!
Shorething, I got some what lucky with the GTs I fished every arvo/ night I was there for them so 7 nights in a row and only once did I not get any hits last nights I was averaging 2 hits a lot of misses and dropped fish tho! I changed from 2 barbless trebles to a barbed single on the back and barbless treble in the center and it improved my landing rate!
