hi all a quick report. we went out in the gulf for a little session to catch a few fish for tea,. after about 45 mins of not too much we seen a few birds working so over we went. alex was fast to get a floater in and 5 seconds later he was on for the fight of his life. just over an hour later he was done {Alex that is}. i took up the chase til about 1.8 miles, 1h 35mins later we had him beat. Alex was so proud of his effort 20/25kg on 6kg. it was a great catch well done Alex. jeff

From the pic you sent over the phone all one could see was the tail and I took it for a mackie not a tuna.
Congrats to Alex on nearly getting it in, well he did all the hard work!!

that is a great effort there
that is a great effort there Alex.you held onto that one for an hour. thats a lot longer than a lot of others could. to get it on 6kg line thats a fantastic capture, ok you had help but the first hour you tired the fish out

Great fish on light tackle. Congrats to the young lad. I'm guessing that there isn't too many sharks about up there at the moment.
